Metti un mattino caldo e assolato, un terrazzo fortunatamente in ombra, un servizio di piatti della tua marca preferita preso a due lire in un mercatino del riuso, una brocca dello stesso decoro che ti sei avventurosamente portata a casa dall’Inghilterra. Aggiungi i tuoi piatti azzurri del cuore, posate che non usi mai anche se ti piacciono tanto, bicchieri che invece usi molto più di quanto avresti potuto immaginare. Mescola il tutto e otterrai la tavola di oggi, vera e propria ode a tutte le sfumature del blu.
L’ho scelta per il nuovo blog hop di Chloe, dedicato all’ultima parte dell’estate. Un tema lievemente malinconico, e in effetti anch’io ho ammantato questa tavola con un po’ di nostalgia per il blu del cielo e del mare della nostra meravigliosa Sardegna, che ho appena lasciato e che non rivedrò prima di un anno.
Ma mettiamo da parte le tristezze, e veniamo alla tavola. Si parte dall’azzurro cielo del runner, in lino, per una volta stirato in modo quasi perfetto. Su questo colore così chiaro spiccano per contrasto i piatti piani, di un profondo blu oltremare: è un decoro importante, praticamente mio coetaneo – ha festeggiato i cinquant’anni l’anno scorso – dal colore intenso rischiarato da un delicato motivo a fiori bianchi.
Per alleggerirlo un po’, ho intercalato il piatto piano e quello da antipasto con un secondo piattino di misura intermedia, azzurro chiaro come la tovaglia.
Più arioso e lieve il piattino per il pane, sempre bianco e blu ma decisamente meno impegnativo.
Righe bianche e azzurro brillante per le posate, per dare alla tavola un ulteriore tocco di leggerezza. E’ invece nuovamente blu scuro il tovagliolo.
L’azzurro ritorna nel dettaglio dei bicchieri, in vetro serigrafato.
Il centrotavola è di nuovo blu intenso. Una brocca dalle forme sinuose, poggiata su un piattino abbinato, ospita un centrotavola fatto di foglie d’edera, margherite, carotilla e fiori di pisello selvatico.
L’estate inizierà anche a declinare, ma ha ancora tanto di bello da regalarci, non trovate anche voi?

Curiosamente, io la userei per preparare una tavola del mese di luglio: fin da piccola l’ho sempre immaginato azzurro cupo, con tocchi albicocca, mentre agosto per me ha i colori caldi e sfacciati di peperoni, pomodori e pesche (forse un ricordo di quando aiutavo la nonna con le conserve di fine estate…)
