E finalmente eccola qui, la mia tavola per il nuovo blog hop di Chloe Crabtree dedicato all’autunno. Lo confesso, non è stato così facile: ho preparato e scattato con un caldo terrificante, zero colori autunnali intorno e una discreta difficoltà nel reperire gli accessori decorativi. Nonostante tutto, ce l’ho fatta, e oggi posso finalmente mostrarvi il risultato.
Non è una tavola da pieno autunno (per quella, vi aspetto su questi schermi nelle prossime settimane), direi piuttosto da inizio stagione, quando ancora si può pranzare all’aperto, magari con una pashmina leggera appoggiata sulle spalle, accarezzati da una luce dorata e inspirando aria finalmente frizzante.
E infatti eccola apparecchiata nel mio piccolo regno di collina, la mia tavola d’autunno, per godere ancora una volta dell’incredibile vista sul bosco e sulla valle che tanto amo di questo posto: peccato non avere ancora nemmeno un accenno di foliage, perché il risultato sarebbe stato ancora più spettacolare.
Come base, ho scelto una grande tovaglia di lino, di manifattura toscana, con un decoro di cui al tempo mi ero talmente innamorata da prenderne addirittura tre pezzi: due tovaglie (rettangolare e quadrata) e un runner. Ha colori delicati, sembra un acquerello e soprattutto riprende uno dei miei temi preferiti per la stagione autunnale: il bosco e i suoi abitanti. Lungo tutto il suo perimetro infatti, tra rami di nocciolo carichi di frutti, si rincorrono simpatici scoiattoli e regali gufi dalle piume candide.
Una vera ode all’autunno, non trovate anche voi?
Non volendo distogliere troppo l’attenzione dalla ricchezza del disegno, ho abbinato dei piatti bianchi, valorizzati da sottopiatti effetto legno in perfetta nuance con la tovaglia.
Ancora creature del bosco per i miei adorati piattini inglesi, che raffigurano i dolcissimi musetti di una volpe e di una lepre. Semplicissime le posate e trasparenti i bicchieri, per non appesantire una tavola decisamente stretta.
E veniamo alle decorazioni. Una tovaglia così protagonista a mio gusto non aveva bisogno di molto altro. Mi è piaciuto riprenderne il disegno con dei segnaposto fatti di foglie fresche di nocciolo con quei pochissimi frutti scampati alla golosità degli scoiattoli, quelli veri, che dopo due anni di latitanza hanno ricominciato a popolare il bosco che circonda la casa.
Immancabile, come in tutte le mie tavole, il tocco floreale. Come dicevo, la natura offre ancora poco di autunnale, e ho dovuto accontentarmi di quel che ho trovato: rametti di sanguinella con le sue bacche scure, le ultime more, qualche fiore di carota selvatica e alcune rose bianche portate apposta dalla città.
Ne ho ricavato due piccole composizioni molto semplici, sistemate in vecchi vasetti di marmellata, perfette per dare un tocco di romanticismo alla tavola senza risultare troppo invadenti.
